The Catalysis Society of Japan (CATSJ) is looking forward to hosting the 19th International Congress on Catalysis (19th ICC) in Kyoto on 25–30 June 2028.
Over the seven decades since the CATSJ was founded in 1958, the Society has contributed in various ways to scientific exchange and technological progress in catalysis. The CATSJ has hosted major global and regional meetings, including the 7th ICC and the Asia Pacific Congress on Catalysis, and the Society regularly organizes the Tokyo Conference on Advanced Catalytic Science and Technology (TOCAT).
The 19th ICC will explore the theme: "Toward a Brilliant Future." The Congress will address fundamental and applied aspects of catalyst design, materials, mechanisms, and processes, drawing attention to the valuable role played by advanced catalysts in the realms of clean energy, sustainable chemistry, and improved quality of life.
ICC will also strive to foster global collaboration, stimulate interdisciplinary discussion, and support the development of young researchers. Further enriching the scientific experience will be satellite meetings across Japan and in neighboring countries, with support from the Asia Pacific Associates of Catalysis Societies (APACS).
The Congress will be held at the Kyoto International Conference Center, an iconic venue known for hosting many important international events including COP3, where the Kyoto Protocol was adopted.
